About Independent Youth Hockey

Our Mission

At Independent Hockey, our mission is to promote youth participation in hockey through engaging youth hockey programs. We believe in fostering skills, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the game. Our 501c3 Charitable Organization is committed to increasing opportunities for player growth and development. 

Our History

Independent Youth Hockey was founded in 2025 by a group of hockey parents who wanted to make quality training and coaching more accessible to players. 

Teams

IYH proudly supports the 2012 Ohio Rivermen Hockey organization, in Columbus, OH. Their goal is to provide full ice training, high-level competition, and affordable team fees, all while focusing on skill development for young athletes.
